Lara’s Homemade Ginger Beer

Lara’s Homemade Ginger Beer is a labeling design concept for a small, female owned business that sells homemade ginger beer to local markets and pop-up events. Though her business is starting out small, Lara wanted to have professionally designed labels to give her products a sophisticated, upscale look that gave her a reputation as a serious product-based business owner.

The label design included a simple yet timeless font that would describe the product and how it’s made. Hand drawn illustrations of the lime and ginger were used to give it that sophisticated home-made look. Because this beverage calls for lime and ginger as the main ingredients, the color palette was selected based on these two items with a nice cranberry red as a delightful contrast. Selling only to local markets and pop-up events, no FDA based labels were required as this bottled beverage wasn’t to be sold as a mass producing product on shelves at local grocery stores.
